Getting to know Distinctive Deserea

My name is Deserea Dayton and I am 18 years old from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I am currently a freshman enrolled at Cedar Crest College, I am majoring in New Media with a minor in Sociology and Marketing. Now you’re probably wondering what is ‘New Media’? Don’t worry I get that question all the time. New Media is the study of social media, graphic design, advertising design, web design and basically any other areas that cover the new media field.

I have always had a passion for anything involving the arts. When I was very little my dream was to become a fashion designer. That has changed, but not by much. My future goal is to be able to design clothes on the computer, then have someone be able to make my design in real life. With that being said I also hope to open and run my own business one day. Will that ever happen? Who knows, but I can always try my hardest.

There is never enough time in the day as I am involved in the field hockey team here at Cedar Crest. Between studying, playing field hockey, and maintaining a social life (somewhat) is quite difficult. For me being busy is better though, I get more things done. So I thought why not start a blog now that the season is over. I love writing and I have always wanted to be able to start a blog, but time has always restrained me from doing so.

Now here I am. I am so beyond excited and blessed to be able to have the time and the opportunity to be able to share my life with you.
