Open letter to my single mother...

I have never been a single mom, but I know what It is like from growing up with you. The workload of taking care of a child and yourself and maintaining a job isn't easy. You are basically two people in one, both mom and dad. I can say that you do a hell of a job playing both roles.

First off I just want to start off by saying thank you. Thank you for always believing in me when nobody else did. Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on when things go wrong. Thank you for providing me with so many opportunities and making so many things possible for me. Thank you for teaching me how to be independent. Finally, thank you for always putting your heart into everything you do, you are my forever role model.

I know there are days where I seem like I don't care, but I do and always have. You give me the world when its not even possible. With you, you make anything that seems impossible possible. You have such a kind heart and soul, one day someone will see that like I do. You always tell me to never give up, but you have to remember to never give up also. Things are definitely hard being a single mom but so far in my life you have done so much, not only for me but for yourself.
